Michael W. Stoddard is the CEO of DEXO Energy, bringing over 25 years of experience in renewable energy development, international project finance, and corporate finance. He has led the development of more than 2 GW of solar projects and structured multibillion-dollar financings across global energy markets.
Michael’s background spans entrepreneurship and senior leadership roles in global banking, including Managing Director positions at Bank of America and ABN Amro, where he arranged over $5 billion in complex project and structured financings. He combines deep technical, financial, and strategic expertise to advance innovative energy market solutions, including AI-enabled energy trading and virtual power plant platforms.
Howard Choy, P.E.
Howard Choy, P.E. is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, spanning public sector leadership, utility operations, and private-sector consulting. His career includes senior roles with Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, and regional energy networks, where he led large-scale energy programs, infrastructure projects, and sustainability initiatives.
Howard brings DEXCO deep expertise in Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), utility and clean energy program development, and California energy policy and regulation. He has overseen multi-hundred-million-dollar energy budgets, developed countywide energy management systems, and led the creation and implementation of CCA, PACE, and CPUC-funded energy efficiency programs, delivering measurable impacts across public agencies and communities.
Marlin Bachmeier
Marlin Bachmeier, P.E. is a technology consultant with deep expertise in designing, modernizing, and operating Microsoft-based enterprise systems, with a strong focus on utility and energy applications. His background includes building and stabilizing complex platforms used by utilities, municipalities, government agencies, and industrial customers, where data accuracy, performance, and regulatory reliability are critical.
Marlin brings extensive experience in SQL Server, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, enterprise integrations, and utility billing and energy analytics. He has architected large-scale rate and tariff calculation engines, processed high-volume metering and operational data, and led modernization efforts that transformed legacy systems into scalable, resilient platforms. As a licensed Professional Engineer, he combines rigorous engineering discipline with practical software leadership to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.
Jesse Marez
Jesse Marez is a renewable energy consultant and electrical engineer with over 30 years of experience across utility operations, energy efficiency, and clean energy program development. His background spans public utilities, private-sector energy companies, and engineering consulting, supporting municipalities, public agencies, developers, and commercial and industrial clients.
Jesse brings DEXCO deep expertise in utility rate analysis, energy project feasibility, and the development of renewable and alternative energy solutions, including solar, storage, wind, fuel cells, and geothermal. A former Los Angeles Department of Water and Power professional, he has led large-scale utility programs, managed multidisciplinary project teams, and delivered energy initiatives valued at up to $750 million, bridging public-sector governance with private-sector execution.
Jake Stoddard
Jake Stoddard is an MBA-trained market strategy professional with over six years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, and regulatory-aligned portfolio oversight. Brings a strong background in fund performance analysis, risk and suitability reviews, and managing over $2B in client assets across diverse investment strategies.
